More about me!
I’m a creative, can-do kind of person with a quick wit and a knack for storytelling. People often say I’m refreshingly raw, real, and relatable to people of all ages. As a registered nurse with mental health credentials, I’ve combined my passion for helping others with a drive to create and lead. I started a business called OOSH with just $5 and grew it into 11 shops, a sewing factory, and a team of over 50 staff—an adventure that taught me resilience, leadership, and a lot about people.
Over the years, I’ve become a sought-after keynote and guest speaker, sharing insights at events and conferences on topics like mental health, parenting, relationships, business, and entrepreneurship. I’ve also written and performed body confidence shows called “What and Not to Wear,” delivering hundreds of talks around New Zealand to raise funds for great causes and inspire confidence.
On the creative side, I won a podcasting award for Speak Before You Think, where I dive into fun, sometimes risky, and thought-provoking topics. I even spent three years as a Saturday morning DJ on More FM Manawatu with Justin Evans. Whether through storytelling, connecting with an audience, or tackling a new challenge, I thrive on blending creativity, authenticity, and a bit of adventure in everything I do!
